Assignment 2 has been posted. It explores supervised learning/classification.
I have added a new draft of the book. It contains an appendix with project information such as how to organize a project, what deliverables I require when teaching the course, and examples of previous projects as well as some suggestions for new ones. I have also added the videos and slides for the symbolic music representations.
I have added the full sequence of videos and associated slides for the course so far under the Course tab.
I have added some new material related to the first lecture under the Course section as well as expanded the resources. The book draft has also been updated.
This is my first blog post on the website created to support the course CSC475 Music Information Retrieval offered at the University of Victoria in January 2014 and also open to external participants. I will try to post regularly on the blog updates related to the course as well as interesting information about MIR. I am looking forward to your comments.
I am using a nice static webpage generator called Nikola. It is nice and simple.
